Chase Riebel
Student Ministry Pastor
Chase Riebel serves as the Pastor of Student Ministries at Vertical Church. Chase yearns to see the young men and women of the greater Columbus area know and love God, His Word, Christ’s church, and the lost. Through engaging teachings, life-on-life discipleship, and lively outings, Chase’s love and desire is to present his flock “mature before Christ” (Col. 1:28).
Chase was saved by Jesus Christ from his sins at the age of 6, but grew to understand the nature of the Gospel more in his teenage years. During his junior year of high school, Chase was plagued by questions regarding his faith, morality, the God of the universe, and his place in the narrative that Scripture presents. Taking his questions to Scripture and mentors, Chase saw for the first time that the Bible does have the answers to life’s hardest-hitting questions. This season of questioning showed Chase the joy of studying Scripture, and the value of biblical mentors raising up the next generation. Prompted by these realizations, Chase began volunteering in youth ministries at his local church in 2019. He has aspired to show Christ to the next generation ever since.
After graduating high school, Chase pursued his Master of Divinity with a concentration in Biblical Care and Counseling and an undergraduate in Biblical Studies from Cedarville University. It was at Cedarville that Chase met the love of his life and his best friend, Megan Riebel. They have been happily married since July 13th, 2024. After graduation, Chase began his pastoral position at Vertical Church in August of 2024.
Chase enjoys reading fiction, being a coffee snob, lamenting the current state of the Utah Jazz, amateur photography, and running marathons very slowly. You can find him with friends at local skateparks trying hard not to break any bones (per Megan’s instructions).
