Megan Winkler
Children’s Ministry Director
Megan Winkler serves as the Children’s Ministry Director, where she loves to connect with families at Vertical Church. She is passionate about cultivating a welcoming, safe environment for all kids to learn about God’s Word and Jesus’s love for them.
Megan's own walk with the Lord was greatly impacted by many faithful children’s ministry and Awana leaders. She was raised in Christian home and trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was five years old. A few years later, her family would enter ministry full-time as U.S. Awana missionaries. Life in ministry meant that her family relocated several times, and each time the Lord faithfully put people in her life to encourage her walk with Him. While living in Kansas, a middle school Bible teacher spoke often about the life and joy that came with being in Christ and walking faithfully with Him. It was during this time that she truly embraced her faith and gained a deeper understanding of what it meant to be a disciple of Jesus. Megan would go on to return to Ohio to attend Cedarville University, where she earned her bachelors in Early Childhood Education and minor in Bible. In the Fall of 2017, Megan began teaching in the Columbus area and started attending Vertical.
While attending a Vertical Grace Group, Megan met her husband, Josh. Life is wonderfully chaotic with three children, and the Winkler family makes the most of it by frequenting local metro parks, going on bike rides, and building elaborate forts and obstacle courses in their basement.
